With a small budget due to Nick and I planning on house hunting next year (!!!), we’re all about the lively local scene. And for as much as I like to travel, there is something to be said about finding something new and exciting about where you live. The great thing about where I live in New Jersey is that there are plenty of places in this state and Pennsylvania to explore.
Last Saturday Nick and I headed out to Glen Mills, PA where Terrain is located, about an hour away. Terrain is a part of the Urban Outfitters family (think Anthropologie and Free People too) and it’s all about the home and garden supplies. And since the holiday season is upon us, it was decked out to in all the holiday finery. Unbeknownst to us, it was also their annual holiday party so it was packed with people. But they had some outdoor fire pits and fake snow billowing around so it was all good.
One of the coolest things about Terrain is how they mix plants with beautiful, natural home goods, decorations, and beauty products. It’s not just one building either; there are multiple buildings including a cafe and small events space. I peeked in through the windows of “The Garden Shed” where they have weddings and birthday parties. It made me want to have a party there so bad! Nick and I are planning to go back when it is less crazy to try the cafe. It has organic and locally grown dishes.
After traipsing around and purchasing some more holiday decor, we headed out a little further to Phoenixville for snacks and drinks at Sly Fox Brewery. Whenever we get out that way we love to hit up Sly Fox’s restaurant for their delicious wings, soft Bavarian pretzels, and, of course, great beers. All in all, it was a great day and I’m already begging Nick to go back to Terrain. He wants us to wait until all the holiday decorations to be cleared out. He obviously knows me too well.
